Case study
MileMethod.
A custom client portal and admin system for a travel advisor running a credit-card rewards service. One place the business actually runs from, instead of a stack of disconnected tools.
The problem
Running a business out of disconnected tools and memory.
- The business ran on a pile of separate tools, Gmail, Google Sheets, Notion, Typeform, Zapier, Relay, and Make.
- Multiple sources of truth for each client, living in Notion, Google, and the owner's head.
- Every new client meant manually copying data into multiple places. The owner became the bottleneck in his business.
- The SaaS options available didn't fit the owner's bespoke workflow.
What I built
Custom client portal and admin system.
- Lead intake - Custom lead intake form, automatic scoring, admin review workflow.
- Client portal - Dedicated login for each client, client fulfillment in one place.
- Notifications - Branded emails sent automatically.
- Admin system - Everything the owner needs to run the business, tracked and managed without leaving the app.
- Payments - Stripe built directly into the app. The entire customer experience lives in one place.
- Built to last - Scalable database, real authentication, security built in from the start, portable code, and 100% owned by the business.
In their words
"I used to work 12 hour days. Now I get the same work done in three to four hours, and I finally have a scalable business."

"For a long time I was working 12 hours a day, constantly reacting to client problems. I'd tried to piece together my own automations with Notion, Zapier, and Relay, but when one tool broke, it broke my entire business. The difference with John was that he took the time to understand the unique aspects of my travel business instead of forcing me into a copy and paste CRM. Now I get the same work done in three to four hours a day, I've cancelled over $1,000 a month in software, and I finally have a platform that's fully mine, one I can step back from while it keeps improving."
